"What Did You Do In The War, Mum?" is one of Pam Schweitzer's theatre productions in the nineteen eighties. This play is based on interviews with women who worked in the forces, in the land, in caring, industries and the home front in England during the Second World War. However, not all the stories could be included in the show and this book is a compilation of the most compelling stories. You can read about this project at the

Thirty years later, in 2015, the English students of the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Fuengirola (Official School of Languages in Fuengirola, Malaga, Spain) used this project to learn about this decisive period of British history. This is their contribution.
